In the relatively short period since Wojciech Topa founded his workshop in 2002, his instruments have received international attention and praise. He studied at the Technical College of Violin Making in Nowy Targ, Poland and proceeded to work under master luthier Jan Bobak. His rich, powerful, and warm instruments are played by esteemed performers including K. A. Ball, Andrzej Bauer, Stefan Kamasa, Jerzy Kosmala, Ivan Monighetti, and Janusz Wawrowski.
