100% Trade-In On Instruments
One of the many benefits of purchasing an instrument from Terra Nova Violins is that we offer our customers 100% trade-in on all instruments purchased from us. We have an extensive inventory covering all skill ranges from novice to professional with instruments in all price ranges.
Important Details:
You may not trade-down, meaning you may not trade-in an instrument or bow for one of lesser value and receive a refund for the difference in price.
Trade-ins apply only to items of the same kind. For example, a violin for a violin or a cello bow for a cello bow. You may not trade in a viola for a cello.
Only one instrument may be traded-in towards the purchase of a new instrument. You may not trade-in multiple instruments towards the purchase of a single instrument.
When trading in an instrument, deductions from your trade-in value will be made to return your instrument or bow to original, selling condition. Our luthiers will inspect your instrument and assess any needed repairs so we can give you an accurate trade-in quote. Typical deductions include but are not limited to new strings and a cleaning for instruments.
Trade-in credits cannot be combined with any other discounts, sales or promotions.
Consignment Instruments: Consignment instruments are final sale and may not be traded-in. Non-consignment instruments purchased from Terra Nova Violins may not be traded-in towards a consignment instrument.

Trade-In Policy Regarding Bows
We accept bow trade-ins on a case-by-case basis. Bows wear at a much quicker rate than instruments, please keep this in mind if you anticipate trading in your bow. Deductions from your bow trade-in value include cleaning, rehairing, and a new thumb leather. If your bow is deemed too worn for a trade-in, we advise keeping your bow as a backup or trying to sell your bow on your own. CodaBows and JonPaul bows are final sale and cannot be traded-in. These bows come with a manufacturer warranty that cannot be transferred to a new owner. Please call either shop with any questions.
