New Rentals
Terra Nova Violins’ rental program provides students of all ages with high-quality instruments at affordable monthly rates!
Starting a new rental contract is fast and easy! If you are ready to rent, please contact us by email at info@terranovaviolins.com. Please format your subject line as follows: “Your Name - Rental Contract”. In the body of your email, let us know which instrument, size, and rental tier you would like, as well as which location you will be renting from (Austin or San Antonio). If you don’t know what size instrument you will need, we can fit you or your child at the shop for the perfect size.
We will also need copies of a Texas government-issued photo ID and debit/credit card (front and back) to complete the contract. You may attach these copies to your email or we can make copies at the shop. If you do not have a photo ID from the state of Texas, we will need documentation verifying Texas residency (utility bill, lease, etc). The name and address on the rental agreement must match the name and address on the ID. Please contact the shop you plan on renting from if you are not a Texas resident.
When you come to pick up your rental, we will complete your payment information. At the time of your rental, you will pay for the deposit (last month’s rent), and the pro-rated rent for the remainder of the month. Starting March 1st, 2025, a non-refundable payment of two months of rent will be required in addition to the refundable deposit and the non-refundable pro-rated first month. Additionally, we offer a variety of accessories sold separately- violinists and violists typically require a shoulder rest or sponge, cellists and bassists usually need a rock stop. All string players will need sheet music and a music stand. Many of our accessories are on our website, feel free to browse our selection online or speak to a sales associate for recommendations.
Please call in advance to the location you will be renting from if you plan to rent a bass. If you need to exchange your rental for a larger size or higher tier, please call in advance to insure we have what you need in stock. We look forward to seeing you!
