William Beare - London, 1930
William Beare - London, 1930
$0.00
William Arthur Beare belonged to the third of five generations of violin makers and dealers that worked for the J & A Beare family firm. William trained as a violin maker in Mirecourt with Marc Laberte before joining the family firm in 1929. He later took over the firm and became its director after the death of his father, Arthur Beare. Although William was primarily known as an expert collector and dealer of fine instruments, his fine instruments show the influence of the French style of making.
