This Pietro Lombardi 16.5” viola is inspired by the Otto Erdesz’s “cut away” viola model. Flamed maple and a two-piecel spruce top make for an expressive and resonant instrument. The cut-away bouts make for a much easier time playing in the upper positions and provide a striking appearance that is quite unique.
